Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to Journal of Society and Scientific Studies may be written in either standard Bahasa Indonesia or English, following appropriate academic conventions.

Manuscript Format and Structure

  1. Manuscripts should be between 7 to 15 pages in length, typed on A4-sized paper, with the following margin settings: top 2.5 cm, bottom 2.5 cm, left 2.5 cm, and right 2.5 cm.

  2. The manuscript should be typed in single spacing, justified alignment, and use a single-column layout.

  3. The main structure of the manuscript should include the following sections:

    • Introduction

    • Method

    • Results and Discussion

    • Conclusions and Suggestions

    • References

Title, Author Information, and Abstract

  1. The title should be concise, specific, and reflect the core content of the article.

  2. The author’s name(s) should be placed directly below the title, followed by institutional affiliation and an active email address.

  3. The abstract must be written in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, with a maximum of 250 words for each version. It should be written in narrative form, clearly stating the objective, method, and main findings of the study.

  4. Keywords should consist of 3 to 5 important words or phrases that reflect the core subject of the article.

Writing Style and References

  1. The manuscript must follow the APA Style for writing and citation.

  2. The reference list should include relevant scholarly sources (both journal and non-journal), primarily from the last five years, unless citing classic or foundational works that remain relevant.

Template and Submission Process

  • Manuscripts must be formatted according to the official Journal of Society and Scientific Studies template.

  • Submit your manuscript in .doc or .docx format via the online submission system (Open Journal System/OJS).

    2. If you already have an account, click LOG IN to access the submission system.

Author Identity and Correspondence

  1. The corresponding author must complete all author details (full name, email, institutional affiliation, and short biography) in the metadata form during submission.

  2. If there are multiple authors, click "Add Author" on the Enter Metadata step to input each author's data.

  3. All communication, editorial notifications, and decisions will be sent via the email address provided at submission.

  4. Authors can track the status of their manuscript directly by logging into their account on the journal’s OJS system.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Journal of Society and Scientific Studies invites researchers, academics, and practitioners from various disciplines to submit original scientific articles that have not been previously published or are not under review in any other journal.

General Submission Guidelines

  1. Online Submission System
    All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through our Open Journal System (OJS). Authors are required to create an account on the journal website:

    • Click REGISTER for new users.

    • Click LOG IN if you already have an account.

  2. Manuscript Format Requirements
    Manuscripts may be written in standard Bahasa Indonesia or English, and should be between 7 to 15 pages long, using A4 paper size, single spacing, and single-column layout, with the following margins: top 2.5 cm, left 2.5 cm, right 2.5 cm, bottom 2.5 cm.

  3. Manuscript Structure
    Manuscripts must include the following sections:

    • Introduction

    • Method

    • Results and Discussion

    • Conclusions and Suggestions

    • References

  4. Abstract and Keywords
    Abstracts must be written in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, with a maximum of 250 words each, including the research objective, method, and key findings. Provide 3–5 keywords that reflect the core of the article.

  5. Reference Style
    Citation and references must follow the APA Style (American Psychological Association). Primary sources are encouraged to come from scholarly journals and recent publications (within the last 5 years).

  6. Author Information
    When completing the manuscript metadata, authors must provide:

    • Full names of all authors

    • Institutional affiliations

    • Active email addresses

    • A brief biography (Bio Statement) for each author

  7. Manuscript Template
    Authors are required to use the journal’s official manuscript template, which can be downloaded from the Template Submission page.

Important Notes

  • All editorial communications (including review results, revision requests, and final decisions) will be conducted via the email registered in the system.

  • Authors can track the status of their submissions by logging into their respective OJS accounts.
