Screening for Plagiarism Policy

Journal of Society and Scientific Studies upholds the principles of originality and scientific integrity in every article it publishes. Therefore, all manuscripts submitted to this journal will undergo a strict plagiarism screening process before entering the peer-review stage.

Plagiarism Detection Procedure:

  1. Each submitted manuscript will be checked using trusted plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or other similar tools.

  2. The maximum similarity threshold is set at 25%, except for technical sections such as methodology or properly quoted and referenced direct citations.

  3. Manuscripts with similarity levels above the threshold will be returned to the authors for revision before further processing.

Categories of Plagiarism Violations:

  1. Minor Plagiarism: Copying of short phrases without proper citation. Authors will be asked to revise.

  2. Major Plagiarism: Significant copying of paragraphs, ideas, or data without proper attribution. Manuscripts will be rejected.

  3. Self-Plagiarism: Reusing one’s previously published work without clear reference and permission, including duplication or multiple publications.

Actions Against Plagiarism:
If plagiarism is detected after an article is published, the journal reserves the right to:

  1. Officially retract the article,

  2. Notify the author’s affiliated institution,

  3. Reject all submissions from the same author for a specified period.

With this policy, Journal of Society and Scientific Studies strives to maintain the quality and ethics of scientific publication, providing assurance to readers and the academic community regarding the originality of every published work.
